The Bicy Lake Ride: First Pedal Strokes of a New Collective Adventure
On September 26th, we're launching something new. Not just a group ride — the beginning of a community.
At Bicy, our mission has never changed: get people on bikes. From day one, we've fought to make cycling accessible — through subscriptions, rentals, and a service that makes your life easier. Today, we're taking the next step: building a cycling community that's open to everyone, whether you ride a road bike or not, whether you've been cycling for 10 years or have never dared to pull on a pair of bib shorts.
September 26th: Lake Ride, starting in Lutry
Join us in Lutry for a group ride around Lake Geneva — relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. Zero competitive spirit, 100% about sharing the road together.
What's included:
🚴 Start and finish in Lutry 🌊 A full loop around Lake Geneva at an easy, comfortable pace 👕 A Bicy jersey and bib shorts for every participant — ride in style and show your peloton colours 🍇 An evening at the Fête des Vendanges in a privatised bar just for us, to celebrate the finish together
For this first edition, you'll need to bring your own road bike. But stay tuned: when the club officially launches next year, a fleet of Bicy bikes will be available so that no one gets left on the sidelines for lack of equipment. The September 26th ride is the perfect opportunity to help us set the tone before the big launch.
Why this ride?
Road cycling is booming. But we know the reality: a lot of people — and in particular a lot of women — want to give it a go but haven't quite taken the plunge. Buying a road bike when you're not sure you'll love it, feeling out of place in a peloton, not knowing where to start... These are the barriers we want to break down.
This first ride on September 26th is our teaser. We want to capture the best moments, the smiles, the feeling of a peloton discovering the lake together — to show you concretely what's coming next year.
And what about next year?
This Lake Ride is the starting point for a real weekly tradition: every Thursday evening, we'll organise a road cycling outing — accessible, sociable, and open to all.
What sets us apart from the group rides organised by local bike shops? Our DNA. Just like with our subscriptions, the goal isn't to sell you a bike at any cost — it's to make cycling available and accessible to everyone, with or without your own bike. A dedicated fleet of road bikes will be available for these rides, designed for those who want to try before they commit.
